| This bitter apéritif with its distinctive brilliant red color and pungent quinine flavor has seemingly become the national drink of Italy. It is frequently drunk with soda or tonic water and is an essential ingredient for several cocktails such as the Negroni and the Americano. |

| Canadian whisky |
| All Canadian Whisky (also known as Rye to many Canadians) is distilled in Canada only. It is aged a minimun of three years (though traditionaly aged 6 years) .Canadian Whisky as a rule has a lighter , delicate taste making it a popular spirit to mix and create numerous cocktails. Over $500 million worth of Canadian Whisky is exported to the United States from Canada each year making it the second largest spirits category in the US market , outselling Scotch and Irish Whiskies. |

| Cassis |
| A cordial made from the berries of an Eurasian currant plant. Also referred to as crème de cassis.
It is blood-red, sweet, black currant-flavored liqueur. It dates back to the 16th century, first produced by monks in France as a cure for snakebites, jaundice, and "wretchedness".
This cordial works well in pousse-cafés and cocktails, but is most commonly mixed with just vermouth, white wine, or soda water.

A few outstanding names include Cherry Marnier (France), Cherry Heering (Denmark), DeKuyper (the Netherlands), Cheristock (Italy), Rocher Cherry Brandy (France), Grant's Morella Cherry Brandy (England), Cerasella (Italy), and Wisniak (Poland). Maraschino liqueur, like cherry cordials, is made by many distillers. The world's largest producer of maraschino is the Luxardo firm of Torreglia, Italy. |
